Fuel Poverty charity, National Energy Action (NEA), has warned that millions of vulnerable households could narrowly miss out on Cold Weather Payments over the weekend. 

Energy regulator Ofgem has announced that the January price will be £1,738 a year for a typical household. This is an increase of £21 or 1% from the current level.

Energy sector consultancy Cornwall Insight has made its final prediction for the January 2025 energy price cap level, forecasting energy bills to increase slightly to £1,736 a year for a typical household.
