Highlights from our Impact Report for 2023-2024

Millions of households across the UK are in fuel poverty, struggling to afford the cost of keeping their home warm, with many falling into debt. National Energy Action’s Impact Report 2023-24 highlights our work to help those struggling and the challenges we’ve faced over the last year. See the highlights below.

Providing support

Households living in or at risk of fuel poverty supported.

Represented complex cases.

Annual financial benefit to clients secured through income maximisation and welfare support.

Immediate direct financial benefit to clients secured through energy advice, crisis fund and fuel debt support.

Worth of provision of energy efficiency measures to clients.

Winter Warmth Packs distributed to clients in desperate need.

Campaigning

We, along with countless partners across Great Britain, campaigned for prepayment to be the cheapest form of payment, which Ofgem has now done. Ofgem estimates that the redistribution of costs that made this possible will:

Net benefit for low-income consumers.

Debt prevented in the energy market.

Instantly reduced fuel poverty gap.
