What is the Energy Bill Support Scheme?
From January, households in Northern Ireland have started receiving Energy Bill Support Scheme and Alternative Fuel Payment grants to help with the rocketing costs of energy bills over winter.
Both grants are a single, non-repayable payment totalling £600. The Energy Bill Support Scheme grant (£400) and Alternative Fuel Payment (£200) will be automatically paid to every household in Northern Ireland.
For many households that are already living in desperate situations and struggling in fuel poverty, this simply won’t be enough.
National Energy Action needs to be there to support as many people as possible through this difficult winter. No one should have to suffer in a cold home.
Donate your rebate
With every household in the country eligible for the £600 grants, National Energy Action is asking those who feel they can comfortably stay warm at home without it, to please donate, so we can be there to provide crisis support to the most vulnerable.
By donating all or part of your rebate, you can help those in need feel the warmth of being helped, and you’ll feel the warmth of having helped – warming the country twice.
Support National Energy Action and let’s keep the UK warm all over.
