Re-sit Bookings

HOW WILL THE 6281-01 ONLINE ASSESSMENT WORK?

For online assessment participants will require a quiet room and TWO separate electronic devices with internet access, sound and a video camera. Both devices must connect to Zoom (video conferencing platform). Device one will be used to connect to Zoom for the exam to be invigilated (this could be a computer, tablet or mobile phone) and device two will be used to access the online exam forms (this could be a computer or tablet).

ASSESSMENT OUTLINE

The online assessment is split into the following three sections, learners will only need to re-sit the section(s) they previously failed:

PAPER 1 (85 minutes)

  • Home Heating
  • Bills, Meters and Paying for Fuel

PAPER 2 (75 minutes)

  • Cutting Down Heat Loss
  • Condensation and Dampness

SUMULATION (30 minutes)

  • Setting central heating programmers
  • Energy advisor role-play

6281-01 RE-SIT ASSESSMENT DATES AND BOOKINGS

If you received a funded course place from NEA, the first re-sit will also be funded if taken before the end of the funding period (this is usually 31st March but but may differ, learners will be advised). Any other re-sits will be be charged at the rates outlined below.

If you received a funded place, the cost of the first re-sit will also be funded if taken within the timeframe of the project. Most projects run per financial year (1st April – 31 March) however, some may be different in which case, learners will be advised of the deadline. Any re-sits taken after the end of the project or additional re-sits will be charged as per the above fees. If you are unsure, please check with NEA.

If you are paying to re-sit after the end of a funded programme, an additional charge of £50 plus VAT may apply for the City & Guilds certificate (this amount is generally included in the original course fee however, if the funded programme has ended, this amount will not be covered).
